PREDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION IN THE CERAMIC AND CEMENT-BASED MATERIALS (C2M) GROUP

Job Summary

The C2M Group at CFM is offering a predoctoral position (1+1+1 years) starting in July to
work with Dr. Jorge S. Dolado and Dr. Guido Goracci in the topic “New thermoelectric
concretes for buildings and urban environments”.

Job Description

The position will be funded by the LTC Sarea program of the Basque Country Government
and the project “Photothermoelectric concrete” funded by Povazska Cementarem. The
selected candidate will be hired by the Research Association MPC - Materials Physics
Center the 1st year and by the Centro de Física de Materiales (CFM) the 2nd and the 3rd.
The salary will be of 17.398,20 euros during the first year before taxes.

The C2M Group at the Center of Materials Physics addresses novel applications of ceramic
and cement-based materials]. Current research topics in the group include energy storage,

Candidates must hold an MSc degree in Physics, Chemistry or related areas, with preferred
background in statistical physics, electromagnetism and computer simulations. Knowledge
on programming is important. Experience in using simulation packages will be esteemed.
